Obituary of James Elmer Eldreth
Mr. James Elmer Eldreth, better known as Copperhead, age 61, of Jefferson died Saturday evening, January 30, 2010 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Elder David Lyalls and Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. Military rites will be held at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Eldreth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Boone Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Eldreth was born in Ashe County on Monday, July 26, 1948 to the late Wayne and Edna Mahaffey Eldreth. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Mechanic at United Chemi-con.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Eldreth and wife, Sandra, of Crumpler; four brothers, Carroll Eldreth and wife, Ann, of Asheboro, Worth Eldreth and wife Dare, of Pond Mountain, Don Eldreth and wife Inez, of Jefferson and Harold Eldreth and wife, Betty, of Lansing; three very special grandchildren, Jason Eldreth, Brandon Eldreth and Emma-Rae Eldreth; several nieces and nephews also survive.
