Mrs. Mary Alice Snyder Potter, age 91, of Todd, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 31, 2010 at her daughter's home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul David Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter-Main Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Potter was born in Watauga County on Saturday, May 4, 1918 to the late Eliffe and Almer Warren Snyder. She was a Homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rom Butler Potter; a son, Luther Potter and a daughter, Louise Canter. Mrs. Potter is survived by four sons, Sam Potter, of Granite Falls, James Potter and wife, Shirley, of Meat Camp, Paul Potter and wife, Sue, of Creston and Butler Potter and wife, Shelia, of Todd; seven daughters, Grace Miller, of Meat Camp, Emma Nell Potter, of Todd, Elithe Little, of West Jefferson, Zelma Potter, of Todd, Beatrice McMillan and husband, Jesse, of Crumpler, Mary Potter, of Crumpler and Rachel Dancy and husband, Dean, of West Jefferson; thirty grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
