Mrs. Jennifer Kathryn Blackburn Carpenter, age 37, of Boone, passed away Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at the Corinth Cemetery in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia with Rev. Larry Shepherd and Rev. Rex Hall officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 P.M. Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Ashe County, North Carolina, on Sunday, October 1st, 1972 to Mr. Harold Blackburn and Mrs. Judi Day. She is survived by her husband Travis Carpenter of Jefferson; three daughters, Kari Nicole Blackburn of Piney Creek; Samantha Dare O'Quin of Richmond, VA, Kathryn Marie O'Quin of Jefferson; her father and step mother, Helen and Harold Blackburn of Rugby, VA; her mother and step father, Judi and Dwayne Beasley of Piney Creek; two brothers, Robert Goss of Laurel Springs, Jeff Blackburn of Rugby, VA; one sister Rebecca Nelson of Sparta; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive.
