If there's ever been "true neighbors," Earl & Ruby have been for 40+ years...and longer. We will miss him standing in his garden, leaning on the hoe, throwing up his hand as we pass. We will miss his old tractor puttering up and down the river, plowing our gardens, scraping our driveways, cutting hay, pulling people from the ditch. He was a good man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, family, and we are just a call away.

Mr. Bledsoe will always be to me that "really tall" man that I remember as a little girl at Fleetwood School and impressed me as being so dedicated to his work. Since coming to Fleetwood, we came to know and love Earl! He was always so helpful with any thing we ever needed. We looked forward to seeing him down at the barn each time we went up or down our road. Loved talking to him and hearing all the stories he had to tell. We learned many things about these mountains from him!He was a special man and will be missed by so many!
