Mary Magdalene Miller Hartzog, age 83, of West Jefferson died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Seagraves Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sonny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Monday, May 17, 2010 one hour prior to the funeral. Mrs. Hartzog was born in Ashe County on Monday, March 7, 1927 to the late Beatrice Miller. She was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. She was a Homemaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Earl Hartzog. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Hartzog and wife, Glenda, of West Jefferson and Clay Hartzog and wife, Carole, of Annandale, VA; a special friend & caregiver, Mary Eller, of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Kendra, Sabrina and Matt; three great-grandchildren also survive.
