Mr. James Randall Farmer, better known as "Randy" age 42, of Lansing died Thursday, May 20, 2010 in Lansing. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 8:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lyalls, Rev. Spencer Roark and Rev. Jim Francis officiating. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:00am at Farmer Memorial Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Farmer was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, July 19, 1967 to James (Jim) Wilburn Farmer and the late Lois Calhoun. He loved horseback riding, farming and four wheeling, anything to do with the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Donna Taylor Farmer; two sons, Shane Taylor, of Lansing and Travis Farmer, of Creston; a daughter, Shannon Farmer, of Lansing; his father and step mother, Jim and Janie Farmer , of Lansing; three brothers, Jimmy Farmer and wife, Jane, of Grassy Creek, Danny Farmer and wife, Ann, of Creston and Larry Farmer, of Millers Creek; a sister, Catherine Farmer, of Crumpler; a step brother, Jeff Parsons, of Lansing; a step sister, Sherry Richardson, of West Jefferson; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
