Mrs. Carolyn Lois Wright Shepherd, age 54, of Lansing, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 26, 2010 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Stuart and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00- 7:00pm, one hour prior to the memorial service Mrs. Shepherd was born in Lewisburg, West Virginia on Sunday, October 30, 1955 to the late Louis and Anna Jianniney Wright. Mrs. Shepherd is survived by; her husband, Doug Shepherd of Lansing; one son, Doug Shepherd II and companion Heather Smith, of Glendale Springs; one daughter, Michelle Brooks and husband Shannon, of West Jefferson; two half brothers, Pete Jianniney, of Fort Myers, FL, Richey Jianniney and wife Pat, of Red Line, PA; one half sister, Joyce Leisure and husband Dave, of Wilmington, DE; seven grandchildren, Skyler Dillard, Laken Blankenship, Sydnee Shepherd, Talarah Shepherd, Chloe Shepherd, Aiden Shepherd, Emma Shepherd; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family, c/o Boone Family Funeral Home, PO Box 786, West Jefferson, NC 28694. The family will be meeting at the home place 690 Lee Osborne Road in Lansing.
