Obituary of Bobby Dean Noblett

Mr. Bobby Dean Noblett, age 61, of Laurel Springs, died Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Richardson-Cranberry Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Noblett was born on Wednesday, March 16, 1949 to the late Willie Bryan and Grace Evelyn Roten Noblett. After graduating from Ashe Central High School, he served in the United States Army from 1969-1971. After returning home from the army, he resided in Statesville and worked for the Ford Company for many years as a Master Mechanic and Welder. He later started his own garage business when he eventually retired and moved back to Ashe County. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Johnson and Betty Parsons. He is survived by a sister, Madeline Lambert, of West Jefferson; six brothers, Connie Dean Roten, of Statesville, Billy Joe Noblett of Kentucky, Johnny Noblett, of West Jefferson, Keith Noblett, of Laurel Springs , Roger Noblett, of Laurel Springs and Jackie Noblett, of Fleetwood; several nieces and nephews also survive. Thank you to Dr. Hank Clay, Blue Ridge Medical Transport, Boone Family Funeral Home and Rev. Lonnie Pruitt. A special thank you to his friend and caretaker, Richard Johnson. The family thanks all who brought food, flowers, your phone calls, thoughts and prayers.
