Mr. Blaine David Lewis, age 85, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday night, June 15, 2010 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. A private service will be held at a later date. Mr. Lewis was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, January 14, 1925 to the late Rufus Gidney and Mary Jane Weaver Lewis. He worked as an Orderly at Ashe Memorial Hospital. He is survived by three sons, Tim Lewis and wife, Allison, of Mouth of Wilson, VA, Bobby Lewis, of Hickory and Cecil Lewis, of Hudson; two brothers, Wayne Lewis, of Crumpler and Bill Lewis, of Creston; four grandchildren; five great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.
