Mr. James Grant Jones, better known as "Grant', age 88, of Warrensville, the Clifton Community passed away Wednesday evening, June 16, 2010 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 12pm at Clifton Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Galgano, Rev. Wayne Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-12pm on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. James was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, August 31, 1921 to the late Lester and Cora Phipps Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Teddy Jones and wife Hester of Conover; two brothers, Grady Jones and wife Betty, of Silver Springs, MD, Dillard Jones of Warrensville; three sisters, Lois Pennington and husband Price, of Warrensville, Jewel Wyatt and husband Garney, of Warrensville, Eula Mae Greer and husband Jim, of Wilmington, DE, several nieces and nephews also survive.
