Dorothy Louise Bradley Kelley, age 88, of West Jefferson, formerly of Roaring Gap, died Sunday morning, July 11, 2010 at Villages of Ashe Assisted Living Facility. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 2pm at Villages of Ashe with Father James Stuhrenberg officiating. Mrs. Kelly was born in Oklahoma on March 9, 1922 to the late Holmes Colbert and Vernah English Bradley. She was a secretary for a housing manufacturing company. She loved to play golf and bridge. She was also an avid reader. Dorothy will be missed greatly by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Kelley; a son, Robert (Bob) Kelley; seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Jim Kelley, of Tampa, Florida and Tom Kelley, of Carrolton, TX; a daughter, Carol Pulley and husband, Forrest, of Roaring Gap; a sister, Nona Umberson, of Roswell, New Mexico; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
