Mr. Bill Clyde Barker, age 55, of Mooresville, formerly of Ashe County passed away Tuesday evening, August 26, 2008 in Mooresville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 3008 at 3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Barker was born in Ashe County on June 8, 1953 to the late, Raymond Lee Barker and Lillian Francis Barker. He worked as a Executive Manger for Food Lion. He is survived by two brothers, Lee Barker and wife, Sharon, of Jefferson and Steve Mack Barker of West Jefferson; two sisters, Linda Bare and husband, Roger, of Sparta and Debra (Dee) Barker of West Jefferson; six nieces; two nephews; seven great nieces and nephews also survive.
