Mrs. Linda Rash, age 48, of Lansing, passed away Sunday morning, October 19, 2008 at her residence. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 7:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Speaker Patrick Hawly and Rev. Mark Wiest officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 one hour prior to the funeral service at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Rash was born in Ashe County on July 26, 1960 to the late Willard Dennis and Hazel Louise Rash. She was a manager of a retail store. She was preceded in death by her father Willard Dennis Rash; a son, David Rash and a sister, Betty Mullis. She is survived by, her mother, Hazel Louise Rash of West Jefferson; a daughter, Melissa Rash of Lansing; a brother, Henry Rash of Crumpler; four sisters, Ruby Brewer Winebarger of Hickory, Diane Rash of Wilkesboro, Brenda Hawley of Hickory and Kathy Elliott of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Joey Garcia, David Rash and Karina Rash; several nieces and nephews also survive. In loving memory, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Memories will be carried out by family and friends.
