Mr. Jesse Clay Brown, better known as "J.C.", age 86, of Crumpler, passed away Saturday morning, July 17th, at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19th, at 2:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashe Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jefferson, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 18th, at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Brown is survived by two sons, Jerry Brown and wife Karen of Taylorsville, NC, Johnnie Brown and wife Grace of Crumpler, NC; two daughters, Norma Adams and husband Mike of West Jefferson, NC, Marcia Coldiron and husband Sonny of Jefferson, NC; three brothers, Robert Brown and wife Mary of Lenoir, NC; Paul Brown and wife Patsy of West Jefferson, NC; Herbert Brown and wife Eloise of Wintson-Salem, NC; one sister, Emma Lou Caudill and husband Clifford of Lansing, NC; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family respectfully requests "No food please."
