Fred Oliver, age 85, of Creston, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Mountain City Care Center in Mountain City, TN. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Darrell Graybeal officiating. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union. Fred enjoyed working with his livestock while farming, gardening, and visiting with his many friends. Mr. Oliver is survived by two sons, Charlie Oliver of Mountain City, Kenneth Oliver and wife Debbie of Mountain City; a daughter Jane Head and husband Kenneth of Mountain City; a brother, Ned Oliver and wife Beaulah of Mountain City; a sister, Ina Mae Oliver of Creston; two brothers-in-law, Earl Greer and wife Madeline, Stacie Greer and wife Thelma; a sister-in-law, Nellie Greer and husband Freeman, special friend, Pearl Roten, several nieces and nephews.
