Rosalie Brown Goodman, age 89, of Fleetwood, NC died Friday, September 10, 2010, at Margate Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M on Sunday , September 12, 2010 at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Miller, Rev. Michael Lea, and Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Goodman is survived by three sons, Kenneth Goodman and wife Notre of Fleetwood, Lawrence Goodman and wife Vivian of Fleetwood, Mark Goodman and wife Dwenda of Statesville, NC; four daughters, Reba Cox and husband Francis of Havre de Grace, Maryland, Mary Lou Kincaid and her husband Nelson, Linda Eller and husband Bill, Joan Howell and husband Rodney, all of Fleetwood; one brother, Scott Brown of Molalla, Oregon; three sisters, Pauline Goodman of Eugene, Oregon, Ennice Jordan of West Jefferson, and Ella Sue Grogan of Fleetwood; fifteen Grandchildren, twenty-six Great grandchildren, seven Great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Goodman. She was born Wednesday,September 22, 1920 to the late Foster and Viola Burkett Brown. She was a gentle lady who had a passion for serving God. She loved her family and until later years, enjoyed cooking for them, especially making "chocolate cookies" for her grandchildren.
