Obituary of Robert Wesley Robinson
ROBERT WESLEY ROBINSON, BOB, 67, of Longwood, FL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2010 while at his mountain home in West Jefferson, North Carolina. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 12, 1942. Bob was the son of Clyde and Regina Robinson and the younger brother of Don (Hilda). Fay, his beloved wife of 49 years, was Bob's best friend. For over 30 years, they owned and operated ProLine Billiards which manufactured custom pool tables. Bob's zest for life was unstoppable. He had a way of making dreams come true. "Poppa" was full of adventure and discovery. He built his farm for his grandchildren wanting them to experience God's creation the way he felt God intended. Bob deeply loved his two daughters, Michelle Bankson (Dennis), and Kim Waites (George). They blessed him with 5 wonderful grandchildren, Addie and Ben Bankson, and Raegan, Reese and Riley Waites. Niece Karen Hull, Nephews Mark and Steve Robinson, and other family and friends were also greatly blessed by Bob's generous heart, his story telling, and his contagious laughter. Bob's deep love of God was evident through active membership at both Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland, FL and Ashe Presbyterian Church in Jefferson, NC. He especially loved missions and shared his faith by taking part in trips to help spread the gospel to other parts of the world.
