Margie Greer Johnson, age 71, of Boone formerly of Creston, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Glennbridge Health and Rehab Center in Boone, NC. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Boone Family Funeral Home. Margie was born in Watauga County on Monday, August 14, 1939 to the late Fonce and Lola May Greer. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Calhoun and husband Mike of Lansing, Lin Bove Fannon and husband Luke of Avondale, PA; a brother, Charles Greer of Mountain City, TN; four sisters, Betty Comer and husband Donald, of Elkton, MD, Edna Wallace of Mountain City, TN, Jean Neal of Shady Valley, TN, Mary Robinson of Mountain City, TN; three grandchildren, Tim Bove of Avondale, PA, Miranda Bove of Avondale, PA, Chelsey Calhoun of Lansing, NC; a great-grandson, Dylan Doyle of PA; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John D.
