My Uncle Marion sure could tell a good story! He and my Dad would get together and tell tales of their youth that you never tired of hearing. So funny! The Blankenship wit is such a gift and those that got it are lucky. Uncle Marion was a kind, friendly, good-hearted person who always seemed happy to see you and spend time with you. I will truly miss him. To my sweet cousins: I know it hurts and I'm sorry. I love you all.

Doris & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Marion's passing. He was a gentle giant of a guy. I will always remember him coming into Landmark Gro. and always had a tell to tale and a cup of coffee to drink. Always a pleasure to see him. May God hold each of you in His hand and comfort you during your time of sorrow. God sure did call an angel home with whom He can sit and talk for hours with. God bless each of you,
Love The Russell Family (Carol, LC, Charlie, Tracy and Mandy)

I will sorely miss my friend,Marion.
We have worked together on numerous
projects over the last 18 years. In that time I learned alot from him, both about
carpentry, and more importantly about life. Marion believed in praying first,no matter what the problem was. He also believed that treating people right, and helping others was worth more
than financial gain. I am greatful for the friendship we shared and the time
I spent with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dorris and his children. May God comfort you.

To all the Blankenship tribe,
So sorry to hear of Marion passing on. The picture is perfect and I remember him well. My Mother Jewell used to speak so fondly of Marion. She thought he was one of the best men she knew. I think she said that about Henry also. He was young when Dad moved us all out west to Arizona. He told me how he felt that day seeing us drive away. Marion came to California when my mother was ill before she died and that made her feel special. He was a very good man and will be remembered fondly. I wish I could go to West Virginia to the family cemetery and see you all, know that I will be there in my heart. Love Shirley

This man was a man of wisdom and knowledge which in return gave him power of which I dont even think he knew he had. He had so much patience and never got in a dither or a rush even when things seemed to be overwhelming and ready to fall apart. I wish I had held on a little tighter to the things he taught me back in the day and only wish to be more like him in my aspects of life. He will be sorely missed, but I am sure he would not want to cry tears of sorrow, but to weep tears of joy because he has finally made it Home. May God be with the family in this time of need. My prayers are with you all

We will miss a excellent customer and a wonderful friend. So many memories of Marion over the years. From coming in drinking coffee to talking about driving the church van and the kids he got ready to go to church. Marion never seen a stranger and loved everyone. You was a friend to Marion from the first time you spoke to him. Marion could build anything he wanted to. Marion you will be missed by us and many others but God has got a jewel in heaven now. There will be another Marion Blankenship. Miss you

My father and mother Harvey and Jewell Blankenship spoke often of Marion. Because they loved him dearly, us kids did as well. When I met Marion just before Mom died, I knew instantly he was family, and felt such a kinship immediately. I know had I lived around him, he would have been a special person in my life.
