Mr. Edward Richard Schadle, age 63, of West Jefferson passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 7, 2010 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Mr. Gary Schadle officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Saturday at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Schadle was born in Alleghany County on Monday, April 28, 1947 to the late Gustav Edward Schadle and Margaret Walsh Schadle. He worked in research and development of food science. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jacquelyn Whitley Schadle on March 12, 2006. Mr. Schadle is survived by two daughters, Carrie Schadle, of Houston, Texas and Tina Dover, of Boston, Massachusetts; his mother, Margaret Walsh Schadle, of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Gary Schadle, of Pittsburgh, PA and David Schadle, of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Cathy Hanley, of Charlotte and Judy Deane, of Pittsburgh, PA; a granddaughter, Sophia Dover, of Boston, Massachusetts; two former spouses, Betty Schadle and Marie Earley; several nieces and nephews also survive.
