Mr. Jerry Cecil Jones, better known as "Cecil", age 62 of Warrensville passed away Friday morning, December 24, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Farmer, Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. J.D. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Jones was born in Ashe County to the late Joseph and Rena Gilley Jones. He worked as a machine operator in a furniture factory. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by, his wife, Jackie Holman Jones; a step son, James Holman and wife, Betty, of Creston; two brothers, Ray Jones, of Warrensville and Roger Jones, of Warrensville; two sisters, Mary Jones Treadway, of Warrensville and Dorothy Jones Parker and husband, Wayne, of Warrensville; two step grandchildren, Zachary Holman and Joey Holman; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the home of James & Betty Holman at 206 Roaring Fork Road in Creston.
