Mrs. Hazel Pearl Cook Parlier, age 88, of Fleetwood, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2011 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Miller and Rev. Lawrence Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Parlier was born in Watauga County on Friday, September 22, 1922 to the late Harley Columbus and Nellie Elizabeth Winebarger Cook. She was a Homemaker. She regularly attended Baldwin Community Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noah (Ted) James Parlier on September 12, 2009 She is survived by a son, Eugene Parlier, of Fleetwood; two daughters, Vivian Goodman and husband, Lawrence, of Fleetwood and Barbara Gentry and husband Bobby, of Abingdon, VA; six grandchildren, Beverly Wright, Judy Current, Lisa Greenway, Richard Goodman, Cynthia Thomas and Kim Poe; nine great-grandchildren, Hanna Goodman, Caleb Goodman, Savannah Poe, Madlyn Goodman, Malachi Poe, Caroline Current and Camden Current, Nelson Greenway and Titus Poe; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted! The family will be meeting at the home of Lawrence and Vivian Goodman at 1363 Paul Goodman Road in Fleetwood.
