Mrs. Edna Mae Johnson Ham, age 73, of Lansing, passed away Monday afternoon, January 10, 2011 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Danny Miller and Rev. Jim Francis officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Ham was born in Chester County, PA on Sunday, November 7, 1937 to the late Alfred and Isabel Gehrig Johnson. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Earlier in her life, she loved to work in her flower garden and she was also an avid reader. Mrs. Ham is survived by her husband, Bobby Ham; three sons, Gary Ham and wife, Judy, of Knottingham, PA, Greg Ham and wife, Sharon, of West Grove, PA and Jerry Ham and wife, Angie, of Lansing; three daughters, Gloria Miller Gail Buchanan, both of Lansing and Ginger McGuire and husband, Phil, of Florida; two sisters, Mary Jane Mentzer and Gloria Seece both of Pennsylvania; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
