George Thomas Harless, of West Jefferson, North Carolina, passed away on January 19, 2011, at Ashe Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, George Rex Harless and Sallie Palmer Harless; his son, George Thomas Harless, Jr.; a sister, Martha Louise Hartzog; and a brother, Marshall Brent Harless. He is survived by his former wife, Jacqueline Quinter, of Baltimore, and a son, Steve Harless of Baltimore. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother; Reba Lovette of Joppa, Maryland, Lloyd Harless, of Churchville, Maryland and JoAnna Walker of Glendale Springs, North Carolina, and several nieces and a nephew. A private memorial will be held by the family.
