Obituary of Thomas Lee Graybeal

Mr. Thomas Lee Graybeal, better known as "Tom", age 70 of Warrensville passed away Wednesday evening, February 9, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Graybeal & Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 6:00 til 8:00 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Graybeal was born in West Virginia on Tuesday, May 14, 1940 to the late Guy Kenneth and Eva Violet Farmer Graybeal. He was the owner and operator of Log Cabin Motors for over 30 years. He attended Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union. He is survived by his wife, Jean Towber Graybeal; two daughters, Gloria Graybeal, of West Jefferson and Sherree Lisa Graybeal, of Warrensville; a son, Thomas Graybeal, II, and wife, Chrystal, of Lansing; two brothers, Robert (Pete) Graybeal and wife, Brenda, of Creston and Guy Kenneth Graybeal, Jr. better known as Junior, and wife, Pat, of Creston; five grandchildren, Thomas Graybeal, III and Charlee Graybeal, both of Lansing, Ethan Shrader, of West Jefferson, Robin Wilson and Amber Wilson, both of Warrensville; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Big Laurel Church of Christ in Christian Union, c/o Susan Mast, 163 Fox Den Lane, Warrensville, NC 28693; Ashe County American Heart Association, c/o June Weaver, PO Box 791, Jefferson, NC 28640 or to the donor's choice.
