What a wonderful, sweet and intelligent person. Heaven is fortunate to have her. She has lots of family and friends over there and leaves lots of loved ones behind who will miss her deeply. Edwina's wit kept us all smiling and I for one will repeat many sayings she used.
Going to Calvary as a child, you always saw Edwina and she was always a very sweet and gentle woman. She was obviously a much stronger person that her gentle appearance reflected as she survived losing two children with grace and acceptance. My prayers are with her family and please accept our deepest sympathy. Maureena
Since I reside in Phila;Pa I did not have the privilage of spending a lot of time with my Aunt Edwina. My biggest memory of her was her laugh. It was quite unique. She always seemed to be happy. I'm sure she is very joyous now in heaven with the reunion of Uncle Monk and her two children who passed on tragically before her. May God bless her family in NC and thankyou for taking care of her.
When my Sister, Edwina was in high school and I was in grade school I came home from school one day and said that I was suppose to write a poem about English. I said "I can't write a poem". So Edwina wrote this poem for me. It went like this. A beautiful lady in blue walked down the avenue. That was way last fall. She practiced her English and all. She had so many friend's and so much money it seems quite strange and rather funny. That a lady would go to the ball and practice her English and all. Edwina cut out of a catalog a lady in blue to glue on the paper. I kept this in my scrap book for several years. This was a nice memory of my big sister helping me out.
While attending Calvary Methodist Church as a teenager it was always apparent that Mrs. Kincaid was a woman of faith; it was that faith that gave her the strength she needed to endure the loss of two children. And it was her faith that has ushered her into her
new home.
