Mr. Boyd Darrell Perry, age 55, of Lansing passed away Thursday evening, August 28, 2008 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Hess and Rev. Lonnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Perry Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Perry was born in Ashe County on March 4, 1953 to Voil Perry and the late Lou Greer Perry. He worked as a saw miller. He attended at the Apple Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his father, Voil Perry of Lansing; four brothers, Vance Perry and wife, Becky, of Crumpler, Lindon Perry of Crumpler, Richard Perry and wife, Donna of Warrensville and Hurl Perry of Lansing; five sisters , Debbie Matkins and husband, Robert, of Lansing, Nettie Miller and husband, Carl Dean, of Lansing, Julie Miller of Lansing, Rosy Higgins and husband, David of Jefferson and Daisey Finley and husband, Dale, of Whitetop, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
