Mr. Deforest McCoy Jr. better known as Junior, age 44, of Creston passed away Monday morning, March 28, 2011 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. A Praise and Worship service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 8:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lyalls, Rev. Dennis Poe and Rev. Thomas Stephens officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 11:00am in the Osborne Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Coy was born in Ashe County on Monday, December 19, 1966 to Deforrest, Sr. and Mary Lou Parsons McCoy. He ran his own landscaping business. He was a caring person wanting to help everyone especially children. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beautiful spring flowers. Junior will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. McCoy is survived by his parents, Deforest & Mary Lou McCoy, of Creston; a sister, Lisa Johnson and husband, Tony of Creston; a niece; a nephew; several aunts and uncles also survive.
