Mrs. Sharon Elaine Ham Hartsoe, age 55, of West Jefferson passed away on Monday afternoon, November 17, 2008 at the Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Stuart and Rev. Tommy Dollar officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Hartsoe was born in Ashe County on March 8, 1953 to the late James William Ham and her mother who survives, Beulah Farmer Ham. She is also survived by three brothers, William Michael and Mack William Ham both of West Jefferson, Markus James Ham and wife Beth of Raleigh; one sister, Pama Ham Taylor and husband Robert of Lansing; three nieces, Jessica and Caroline Ham and Autumn Taylor; a special friend Katherine Hartzog.
