Mr. Coy David Wilcox, age 87, of Jefferson passed away Monday morning, May 2, 2011 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 2:00pm at Whitetop Baptist Church with Rev. T.A. Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitetop Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Wilcox was born in Ashe County to the late Mack and Laura Wyatt Wilcox. He loved wood working and dealing in antiques. He also enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife, Betty Buchanan Wilcox; two sons, David Wilcox and wife, Katina, of Crumpler and Curtis Wilcox, of Lansing; a daughter, Robin Johnson and husband, Jimmy, of Millers Creek; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
