Melba and Calvin, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Miller was a wonderful man and physician. I remember working as a Ward Secretary on the floor years ago. The first thing that stuck in my mind about him was his "pretty' white shoes. Always dressy. His soft spoken voice was loved by many. His patience was something to never be forgotten. His kindness was seen through his eyes and his life. I can remember some of the other doctors getting so upset and angry over things, but NEVER once did I EVER see Dr. Miller be that way...no matter what the situation. Yes, there were problems, and difficulties, but he handled it in a very mannerable and respective way. Got his points across without any doubt while remaining the wonderful person that he was. I know God worked through him to touch and affect the lives of all the people he came in contact with. I admired his artwork and your's too, Melba. God has given you both great talent. I admire you and Calvin for the people you are. You have touched my life is such a positive way. Calvin, thank you for all you do. You're wonderful! May God be with you both and wrap his arms around you and give you abundant strength.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you. Dr. C. E. was a gentle and patient physician and person. I experienced this firsthand as one of his patients. I recall as a young teen that I needed a sports physical. I just figured I'd go to my Dad for this appointment. With appropriate MD protocol my Dad said I would need to visit another physician and why didn't I try C.E. Miller. Well, I followed his suggestion and I'm so glad I did. He became my Family Pratictioner and was a great one!

My condolences and prayers to this family. Dr. Miller delivered me when I was born. My Mother just called to tell me that he had passed away. She was very fond of him all her life as a friend and physician. I am now 57 and only met Dr. Miller one time when we were eating at Greenfield Restaurant. My Mother (Ruth Hanna) thought very highly of him.

My hero, Uncle John. Always a Gentle, compassionate loving person.I never saw him angry. Because of him I went into healthcare. Going with him on rounds at the new hospital and watching his healing bedside manner was indeed a treat. He had a heart so full of love for his patients, that if someone couldnt pay, it was Ok.He just wanted to heal. As an Uncle he was bigger than life, always very special, he gave great hugs. My memories of Dr. Miller are from golfing with him and his Son Doug. My father Ray Klein and I spent many summers in west jefferson and we sometimes would get in a round of golf. He was truely a wonderful man and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
