Mr. Donald Kyle Key, age 81, of Margate Health and Rehab Center passed away Wednesday morning, November 19, 2008 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Dawes officiating. Burial will follow in the Goss Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Key was born in Ashe County on Saturday, October 15, 1925 to the late Henry Key and Clyde Barker Key. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a Painter. Mr. Key is survived by two sons, Jeff Key of Lansing and Mitchell Key and wife, Wendi, of Thomasville; a daughter, Karen Miller and husband, Larry, of Lansing; two sisters, Judy Brooks of Maryland and Mary Rowland of Maryland; six grandchildren, Alicia Miller, Kristen Stuart, Kaley Key, Morgan Key, Meredyth Key and Holden Key; two great-grandchildren, Caden Stuart and Tiera Kenzi Blevins; several nieces and nephews also survive.
