Obituary of Mary Idell Taylor

Mrs. Mary Idell Woods Taylor, age 62, of Lansing, passed away Monday morning, June 27, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:00pm at Tuckerdale Baptist Church with Rev. Julian Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Mrs. Taylor was born in Johnson County, TN on Wednesday, January 12, 1949 to the late Betty Woods. She was a Homemaker. She will be remembered for her great memory and recalling things over the years. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roby Simpson and Ricky Simpson. She is survived by her husband, Garland Taylor; a son, Dana Dunn, of West Jefferson; four daughters, Corrina Taylor, of Lansing, Sarah Brown and husband, Gary, of West Jefferson, Bonnie Taylor and husband, James, of Lansing and Mary Ann Pennington and husband, Bob, of Lansing; two brothers, Jody Simpson, of Mountain City, TN and Junior Simpson, of Greenville, TN; a sister, Laura Lee South of Mountain City, TN; thirteen grandchildren Bobby and wife, Danielle, Jessica and husband, Scott, Jennifer N., Jennifer K., Ashley, Jake, Joseph, Mackinie, Allen, Gary, Joshua, Rodyne and Jeffery Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren Sid, Austin, Olivia, Alexias, Hailee, Dakota, Evan, Zereik, Chyanne, Mason, Brianne, trey and Mason; several nieces and nephews also survive.
