Robert Lee Houck Jr., age 73, of Jefferson, died Tuesday night, July 12, 2011 at his home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Osborne and Rev. Rex Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00pm at the Boone Family Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 1:00- 2:00pm, prior to the funeral. Mr Houck was born in Ashe County on Monday, November 1, 1937 to the late Robert Lee Houck, Sr. and Zora Faw Houck. He worked in maintenance at Phoenix Chair Mfg. Company. He is survived by his wife, Carol Tedder Houck; a son, Robert T. Houck and wife, Rhonda, of Divider, CO; two daughters, Angela McCrorie and husband, John, of Athens, GA and Tonya Houck, of Jefferson; a sister, Bobbie Rae Lenney and husband, Joseph, of South Daytona, FL; a special friend, Kay Elliott of Hospice; eight grandchildren, a Great-Grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.
