Dwight James Miller, age 57, of West Jefferson died Saturday morning, July 16, 2011 at his home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00am at Bare Wyatt Cemetery with Rev. Homer Murdock officiating. Mr. Miller was born in Ashe County on October 22, 1954 to the late Swader Miller and Alagene Bare. He worked on Christmas Tree Farm. In his spare time, he loved to fish and camp. He is survived by a daughter, Tonya Miller Byland and husband, Josh, of Todd; two brothers, Rick Frye, of West Jefferson and Russell Frye, of West Jefferson; a sister, Juanita Frye Ham and husband, Alfred, of Crumpler; three grandchildren, Hailey Byland, Tristan Byland and Jada Byland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
