Chester better known as "Bud" passed away at his home on August 23, 2011 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 72 years old. Survived by wife, of 51 years, Earlene Smith Workman. His parents Chester and Emma of Point Pleasant West VA; four sons Tim and wife Susan of Indian Trail, NC; David and wife Peggy, Stephen and wife Laura all of Monroe, NC; Mark and wife Penny of Lansing NC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, Aunts and Uncles. Interment will be in Forest Lawn East in Matthews NC. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Matthews, NC. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Matthews NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, one hour prior to the funeral service.
