We are neighbors of the Millers and generally saw Neil at the Post Office. We know how she lovingly cared for Junior in his last years. We don't know you, Pat, but we certainly hold you up in prayer as you face such gut wrenching loss again. We're just down the road if we can assist you in any way. Praying for you and your family.

Patricia & family,
So very sorry to hear about Nell. We loved her & Junior and always enjoyed talking to them. They were hard working people, lots of fun and will miss sitting with them at church. Nell was a good wife and caregiver to your dad, putting him first in everything she did and made sure he was cared for. You are in our prayers and know that God with give you the strength to get through this.

Dear cousin Patricia,
Although it has been many years since I last saw you, perhaps you will remember the rambunctious boy from Grassy Creek Baptist Church who was so intrigued with your red hair.
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Nell, especially so soon after Junior.
They were such good people, and both will be sorely missed.
My dad told many stories about how Junior followed him around when he was a child, and how close they were. He always called him “June, and I recall raptly listening to them talking over the years, as they exchanged stories from back in the day.
Our family also looked forward to our visits to Shatley Springs, and always asked for Nell to be our server so that we could talk with her… and usually Junior, too. They were two peas in a pod! She was such a hard worker, and both she and Junior were valued members of GCBC and the community.
The wonderful job that Nell did as caregiver during June’s long illness was a clear illustration of her love and dedication, and serves as a shining example to all. The great sense of humor that your parents shared was a blessing that will also be long remembered.
You and your family are in our thoughts, and we pray that God will comfort you during this tragic time of loss.
With love and deepest respects,
A

Patricia, although I haven't seen you in years, I did run into your Dad & Mom once in a while at Shatley Springs. I have a lot of good memories of them, and was so sorry to hear that they had both passed away. We spent so much time together as children, it's sad to lose track of each other as adults. I live in Roanoke, I was married for 20 years, divorced for 10 years, and now have been remarried for 6 years. I have a son and a daughter that live here in Roanoke and a beautiful 9 month old grandson named Landon. I see where you have 3 sons, guess you have your hands full! What a blessing. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I feel your pain, when Daddy died 3 years ago, it was the hardest thing I had ever experienced, so I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers durning this difficult time.

Trish, Was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. To lose her and your Dad in such a short time has to be really difficult. I will always remember the nights I spent at your house and how much fun we had (remember the snow day)?? They were always so nice to me and also so kind to my Mom. You never forget things like that. You were such a good daughter and they were soooooo proud of you and your family.
You take care of yourself and let me hear from you.
