Mr. Jesse Legarde Dillard, age 102, of Butler, TN died Tuesday September 6, 2011 at Segrave Nursing Care Center. Funeral services are Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Miller and Rev. Daniel Wood officiating. Burial will follow at the Orion Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Dillard was born Wednesday, November 25, 1908 to the late Jesse Franklin and Sally Severt Dillard. He is proceeded in death by three brothers; Clint Dillard, Walter Dillard, and Jones Dillard. Mr. Dillard served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member at Orion Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife Ruth Nave Dillard; one step-son, Raymond Milsap of Elizabethton, TN; two step-daughters, Lorrine Matherly of Powell, TN, and Doris Harry of Butler, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive.
