Mr. Donald Blaine Tomlinson better known as "Donnie", age 63, of Fleetwood died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Joe Blevins and Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Tomlinson was born in Ashe County on September 12, 1948 to the late James Blaine and Jennie Faye Bare Tomlinson. He worked as a tree farmer, Tomlinson Nursery and Evergreens. Donnie was an organ and tissue donor, even though his life has ended others will live on. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Tomlinson; three daughters; Lorrie Tomlinson and special friend Todd Spears of Fleetwood, Debbie Rickard and husband Jody of Sommerville, SC, and Sgt. Amanda Jones and husband Aaron of Raleigh; two brothers; Wayne Bare of Fleetwood, and Roy Tomlinson of Holladay, TN.; one grandchild, Madison Dawn Rickard; several nieces and nephews survive.
