Ms. Faye Greene, age 78, of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Hillview Family Care Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martha Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lawn Memorial Park in Boone, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 12:00-1:00pm, one hour prior to the funeral service. Ms.Greene was born in Watauga County on Monday, August 28, 1933 to the late Linville and Jessie Welborne Greene. She worked as a waitress at Midway Grill (Gert's Restaurant). She was a member of Stony Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, Hoover Greene of Oak Ridge TN; a sister, Edna Hartley, of Jefferson, NC; several nieces & nephews also survive.
