Judy and Dick, I always liked "Grandma Sanford". She was a quiet, calm lady with a gentle smile. Visiting her home at a very young age, I remember the icebox in the stairway and at Christmas the candles on her tree that had bubbles in them. I also liked looking out at the intersection below--coming from a one-story house that was interesting and different.
Reading her life's accomplishments, she was a remarkable woman for her time. Raising 4 children and working to provide for them was impressive. I also remember her learning to drive and getting her license many years past her 16th birthday!
She was a loving, unselfish woman with a long life well-spent.
