I am thinking of you and your family and lifting you up in prayer. I know how hard these days are for you and pray God will meet you where you are and that you will feel the comfort only He can bring. Your mother's amazing legacy will live on through all of the many lives that she touched. I know you miss her terribly, but she is new again in Heaven and her radiance is shining down on you and your entire family.
Love,

How could any of us ever forget Pat? I knew her as a fellow parishioner at Christ Church, Albemarle, and still thought about her from time to time. How certain the Lord must be of victory to call so great a soldier home!

What fond memories I have of Pat. She and I enjoyed time together when she was in Stanly County. The most fun we ever had together was when we went to Alanbama Theater at Myrtle Beach and had our pictures made with Randy Owens. She will definitely be missed. She was a wonderful person and love life.

Jackie and I have lost one of our favorite people in our world. Pat and Joe have been people we always hope to see when we come down from Roanoke to our little cabin and to the Parish of the Holy Communion. We remember our last time with Pat this summer when her hopes were high and her joy in life as present as always and always a gift to all who loved her. Her faith inspired our own. Her willingness to serve others in Christ's Name was unequaled. No parish could have been more blessed to have her than her own. Thank you, God, for sharing Pat's life with us. Thank you God, for the love she shared with her best friend, Joe. Jackie and I so wish that we could be with all of the people who come to celebrate Pat's life on Saturday, but we will be there in spirit. As a priest of the church, I have always loved the following prayer:
May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.
Amen. That's what we pray for Pat and that Joe will find her again in Christ's Way.
Love and Peace,
Fr. Stephen & Jackie Stanley
