Mrs. Charlotte Marie Roten Brooks, age 57, of Jefferson, of Warrensville, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, at 2:00 PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Shepherd and Rev. Jim Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 17, from 6:00-8:00PM at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Brooks was born on Friday, December 11, 1953 to the late Herbert and Jean Poe Roten. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. And was also a sewing machine operator at Hanes. She is survived by; her husband, David Brooks; one son, James David Brooks, Jr. of Lansing; one sister, Sandy Shepherd and husband Leon of Warrensville; several nieces and nephews also survive.
