Mr. William Kyle Miller, better known as "Kyle", age 83, of Lansing died Thursday morning, October 20, 2011 at Margate Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 23 at 1:00 at the New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Dollar and Minister Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23 from 12:00-1:00 at the New Home Baptist Church. Mr. Miller was born in Ashe County on Thursday, August 30, 1928 to the late James A. and Lessie Clark Miller. Kyle was always known to walk to his Uncle Reggie's store, get a drink and a moon-pie, and on his way home he would stop by his neighbor's house to visit! Kyle was a get helper and loved to attend Adult Day Care. He is survived by one brother; Bill Miller and Dot of West Jefferson; two sisters; Shirley Sharpe and John of Lansing, and Kathleen Barker of Lansing; one nephew; Mitch Miller and Lisa of Raleigh; two nieces; Lesa Absher and Teddy, of Crumpler, and Linda Walton and Steve of Lansing; one uncle; Lester (Short) Miller of Margate Nursing Home; six great nephews; Chris Dollar and Jennifer of Lansing, Ryan Absher of Crumpler, Grayson Miller of Raleigh, Seth Miller of Raleigh, Jacob Dollar of Lansing, and Noah Dollar of Lansing; several cousins also survive. Flowers are accepted! The family will be meeting at the homeplace at 837 Tucker Road in Lansing.
