Aunt Ruth & Uncle Bo, I miss you dearly! I tell Micah often of the many things I remember about you. Most is that you NEVER let any of us go without what we needed if you could help it. Family first. Always!
But it didn't end there. You had a kind word or gesture to anyone who needed it. You helped me help my clients, new arrival refugees, start new lives by hauling truck loads of items from Aunt Una's shop or wherever you aquired them from, all the way from MD to NC so that I could give them away to who needed them. Countless numbers were clothed, warmed & welcomed to their new homes better than they would have been were it not for your kindness and selfless generosity. By extension, their first impressions of Americans was one of helpful, kind, generous people. 15 yrs later, people still remember my aunt & uncle that helped them so much and they in turn do what they can to help others as they come to start anew.
You have been gone over 2 yrs now but the hole in our hearts remains. We can take comfort though in that you are together; just as you would have it; and that your legacy is far reaching and never ending. I know I expressed thanks while you were here, but, I am so thankful and blessed to have had you as my family and I will carry with me always your lessons. Family first and be kind and generous with whatever you have. I miss you terribly. Love, Melissa.
