Mr. James Stokes Rose, age 71, of Warrensville passed away Saturday morning, at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Weaver officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday following a Graveside Service at 10:00 A.M. at the Rose Family Cemetery in Warrensville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M on Wednesday prior to the funeral at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Rose was born in Ashe County on, August 30, 1940 to the late Isiah Andrew Rose and Cenith Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Gay Rose; two sisters, Mary Adams of Warrensville, and Ennis Goodman of Fleetwood.
