Mr. Johnny Darius Eldreth, age 64, of Lansing, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2011 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00am at the Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Danny Miller, Rev. Lundy Finley Jr., Rev. Tommy Dollar, and Rev. Joey McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 26, 2011 at 6:00 -8:00pm at the Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Eldreth was born in Ashe County on Saturday, January 4, 1947 to the late Edgar Earl and Mattie Mae Miller Eldreth. He worked at Sprague, Thomasville Furniture and his latest job was at Ashe Services for the Aging as a CNA. He was a member and served as a Deacon at New Home Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Mahaffey Eldreth; his brother-in-law, Garrett Mahaffey and wife, Joyce, of Fleetwood; an uncle and several cousins also survive.
