Dennis and the extended family,
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.
I got to know your mom as my hairdresser and as a traveling buddy years ago. Georgia went on a trip with our student group from Ashe Central. I think you will remember that trip...Georgia forgot her passport and you had to go get it and bring it to the airport. I thoroughly enjoyed traveling with your mom. She was so graceful and polite. Georgia will truely be missed.
God Bless,
Maxine L. Shatley

Van, our heart is heavy as we know yours is also. We loved Georgia and felt very fortunate to have her in our lives for eleven years. She always could brighten our days with her smile and cheerfulness. We have missed her so much since she left Wilkes Co. We cherish time spent with her, but we know she is home now. She always told me that Amazing Grace was her favorite song and when I here it,it always brings back her memories. May God give you peace in the days to come.

Van,
I was sorry to hear about your mom. She gave me my first haircut and permanent --I came home looking like Shirley Temple and thought I was the bomb! She was very sweet and told me she had a "little boy my age." I hope you're comforted by fond memories.

Dear Van,
I'm so sorry that Betty and I will not be able to attend because of my health issues. We have very fond memories of our visits to NC and seeing all of our family and Georgia was always an important part of those visits. We will miss being there with you but will be thinking of you.
Best, Betty & Warren

Van,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Georgia did my hair for years. She was great. I always enjoyed seeing you when we would visit Aunt Della. Georgia was so proud of you. If we can help you in anyway, please let us know.
