Mrs. Jeannette Tindall Wolfe Rue, age 84, of West Jefferson, passed away on Thursday morning, December 11, 2008 at Living Care Center of Banner Elk. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Dollar officiating. A gathering of friends will be held from 1:30 until 2:00pm on Monday, thirty minutes prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Rue was born in Mercer County, NJ on Sunday, November 23, 1924 to the late Chester and Hettie Tindall Wolfe. Jeannette was a seventy-plus year member of the Baptist Church in Hightstown, NJ; she was a member of the Eastern Star, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hightstown Engine Company #1, and the Lioness Club. She was also preceded in death by one son, Chester W. Rue, Sr. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three wonderful years, William Rue of West Jefferson; one daughter, Linda Bencze and husband Mike of Creston; four grandchildren, Jamie Bencze of Boone, Courtney Bencze of Brooklyn, NY, Chad Rue of Hightstown, NJ, David Rue of Mountain City, TN.
