Mrs. Katrina Taylor Wyatt, age 50, of Jefferson passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2pm at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sony Thomas and Rev. Russell Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Hill Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 1-2pm at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Wyatt was born in Ashe County on Sunday, December 3, 1961 to George Dean Taylor and the late Sandra Handy Taylor. She was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Butch Wyatt; her father and step mother, Dean and Joan Taylor, of Jefferson; a brother, Carlos Taylor and wife Sherry, of West Jefferson; a step-son, Kenny Wyatt of Wilkesboro; a step-sister, Amy Wilcox, of Jefferson; a grandson; Benjamin Wyatt; a special friend, Carol Miller of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
